LEGO to invest another $366 million in Virginia

Bricking News! Virginia to Welcome Another Massive LEGO Facility!

The LEGO Group is expanding its footprint in Virginia with a new 2 million-square-foot warehouse and distribution center set to be built in Prince George County's Crosspointe Business Centre. According to Governor Glenn Youngkin, the $366 million project will bring over 300 new jobs to the region.

"As LEGO deepens its roots in the Commonwealth, it’s sending a powerful message: Virginia is a place where global leaders thrive, grow, and succeed," said Youngkin.

Floyd Brown Jr., Chairman of the Prince George County Board of Supervisors, expressed his enthusiasm, highlighting the positive impact on local communities like Petersburg, Hopewell, and Colonial Heights. “We’ll all gain from having this name-brand so close," Brown added.

Much like building a LEGO masterpiece, getting this facility up and running required many pieces to come together. Local and regional leaders collaborated to ensure the site is ready for development, setting the stage for smooth construction.

This expansion follows LEGO's ongoing project in Chesterfield’s Meadowville Technology Park, announced three years ago. That facility, still under construction, is expected to create 1,700 jobs and further solidify LEGO's commitment to Virginia.

Virginia is truly becoming a LEGO powerhouse!
